Diving with Whale Sharks, a Unique Experience in Belize
(Vocus/PRWEB) March 18, 2011
Whale sharks make an annual migration trek to Gladden Spit in Belize. They head to the Belize Barrier Reef to feed on the spawn of Mutton and Cubbera snappers. During the full moon the snapper spawns here and the giant whale sharks come to feed on the spawn and to mate.
Whale sharks are relatively slow moving, curious but docile animals. Their gentle nature, makes swimming with them a special treat for divers. When planning a dive trip with whale sharks in mind, the best time would be during the full moon period in April, May and June.
Tropic Horizon offers various specialized travel services and is unique because some of the expert travel staff are natives themselves and have in depth knowledge of Belize, one of their featured Countries. Some staff members even have family-owned businesses in the Tourism Industry of Belize.
We have been meaning to write and tell you how flawless your arrangements were and how great of time we had on the trip. Rubin was our guide and we told him we were interested in birding and although he said he was not that good at birding, he actually was very good and did a great job on both the ruins and bird watching. Next year we will be planning another trip to Central America and we hope you offer other longer tours. Again well done and thank you. —- Cay Goude, Sacramento,CA

Thank you again for your assistance with planning our June 2010 trip to Placencia, Belize. We really appreciated your providing us with three suggestions for accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Inn at Roberts Grove the property was well maintained and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our four days of scuba diving with the Sea Horse Dive Shop and found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. We especially enjoyed visiting the Shark Hole Our trek into the Wildlife Sanctuary, Jaguar Preserve and rain forest with Gilbert was amazing Gilbert shared much information regarding the various plants and animals that live within the rain forest. Thank you again for your assistance and we look forward to a future trip to Belize. Sincerely —- Brenda Gittings, West Virginia
