Where can I hide a cctv camera outside my house?

I have a terrace house and someone keeps damaging my car. I probably need to cameras, each facing different ways. how can I place two camera without it being obvious from a mid terraced house and can any one advise of a complete system?

go outside and look at your house from were your car would be parked then see the best place to set them up

If you really want them to be unobtrusive, beneath the guttering — or even (if this is a temporary thing) inside your house, pointing out through (closed!) windows … perhaps an upper and a lower window?

I bought one from B&Q and it slides into the spy hole in the front door. no one knows its there. It actually looks like its lens from the spy hole itself.

try setting the camera so its easily seen.
That would stop anyone from touching your car.

or do you want to get them to pay for all the damage they have already done?

Just have it set back a little bit in a room.
Its harder to see into a room if all the lights are off but you can see out really easy.

we have a similar problem on our street, and wanted to put up cctv. we were told you can't have it pointing on or near a neighbours house as it's classed as (for want of a better word) spying! so i guess you could possibly put it inside your house pointing down towards your car. try putting up a sign to prevent the scum bags doing it again something that says "beware you're being watched" or "this car is under surveilance!"

you will need to be careful on reording images of people on the public highway. there may be legal implications. where i work we were tol to hange our cameras so they only recorded our property and did not include images of people on the public highway (the footpath outside)

Don't waste your money on proper CCTV and the legal hassles some people mentioned.

Buy fake camera houses. Some have red lights on to make it look like it is recording.

Make them as visible as possible to the areas where the crime is taking place and maybe even put up a sign that the area is being watched by CCTV.

This should be enough to deter them from damaging the car and far cheaper too.
